A license file is a file stored on your computer that contains “codes” or “keys” that allow access to Vericut and Vericut options. It is generated by CGTech and is required to run Vericut products.
All users must submit a License Request form. Upon receipt, CGTech will send license codes via email, which you subsequently save into a license file on your system (directions are included with the license file email).
CGTech company ID is a unique number assigned to all accounts. Six digit customer ID’s begin with ‘10xxxx’, and five digit reseller I D’s begin with ‘30xxx’,’20xxx’ for Demo Sites. This ID is in Verciut license files, packing slips, and mailings sent to your company from CGTech.

A valid Windows Host ID is 12 characters and contains only 0-9 numbers and A-F alpha characters
A utility program called hostinfo.bat is provided with the Vericut installer. This program displays the Host ID.
If you do not have access to the Vericut installer, you can do the following:

Important information about using Vericut’s License Server on a Windows Virtual Machine
If your company does not utilize Virtual Machines, you can stop reading now. If you intend to install Vericut’s license server on a Virtual Machine, you must tell us. A standard Vericut license will not work from a Virtual Machine. If your current license server is running on a Virtual Machine, please fill out the short form found here to request a license that is enabled for Virtual Machines.
If you have multiple license servers and some of them are not Virtual Machines, please indicate which ones are Virtual Machines, in the Notes / Special Instructions on the form. There is no additional charge for a Virtual-enabled license.
If your client computer is a different type than the license server computer, select the platform types in the ‘Additional Computers’ section of the License Request form and those platforms will be added to your license.
Windows 7/Vista/XP
Report 12 character Physical Address value found under the Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection section. e.g.: “00-AA-00-A8-D8-98”
Should you have any problems retrieving the proper Host ID information, please contact Technical Support
Redundant server uses three (3) computers that communicate with each other to act as one logical Vericut license server. A redundant license server requires that you request special licensing.
Three separate computers and corresponding host IDs and host names must be provided. The three computers do not have to be the same platform type. Please contact your Sales Engineer for more information.
Complete the License Request on our web site. At the bottom of the form, be sure to complete the License Transfer section. Include the host ID of the new license server as well as the host ID of the old license server.
Customers with current maintenance may apply for a license transfer. Contact your CGTech representative regarding the status of your maintenance contract.
