    System Requirements

A reliable internet and email connection is recommended for software installation, technical support, and product updates.

    Operating Systems

All CGTech software is thoroughly tested on Windows 11.

    Processor

When evaluating system requirements, consider all tasks the system will perform, including:

    1. The physical size of the part to be simulated

    2. Other software aplications running concurrently with Vericut

    3. The memory and graphics requirements of those applications

Note: Vericut performance is primarily affected by the simulation tolerances used and the speed of the CPU’s. The faster the CPU speed, the faster your programs will run. The length of part programs being simulated does not affect Vericut speed. In addition, cut stock refine speed and general display performance is highly correlated to the number of cores.

    Storage

A full Vericut installation requires up to 8 GB of disk space, including libraries, sample files, training sessions, help documentation, and model interfaces. A high-capacity storage device is recommended, especially when storing IP and Reviewer files.

    Windows Server

Vericut support all versions of Windows Server.

    Memory

Available physical memory affects how many applications can run simultaneously without performance degradation. In Vericut, memory usage depends on part size, simulation tolerance, program complexity, and enabled features.
    1. 16 GB RAM is sufficient for most simulations alongside a few other applications.
    2. 32 GB RAM is recommended for very large parts (approximately 400” × 100” × 100” or larger) or when using very fine tolerances.

    Video

Make sure you are using up-to-date drivers from your card manufacturer. We often see issues that are resolved with updated video drivers and the driver version can have a great impact on how the card performs. The latest drivers for NVIDIA and AMD can be found online.

    Monitor

Most users benefit from a dual-monitor setup for improved productivity. The minimum recommended resolution for the primary display is 1920 × 1080. While Vericut can run on lower resolutions, some larger dialog windows may not fully fit on screen.
